Sunday, June 20, 2010Mt. Spokane High SchoolOn May 4,1994 Loreen Curtis Miller lost her battle with breast cancer, but her fiancee, Larry Halverson, was not ready to give up the fight. That August he held the first annual Loreen Miller Bike Ride to benefit Cancer Patient Care and give local cancer patients a fighting chance. That year there were 12 riders and several volunteers and they raised $500. In the years since, the Loreen Miller Bike Ride has grown to be one of the area's most loved rides and one of the longest-running cancer-related bike rides in the nation. It has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to help cancer patients right here in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho. This event is an opportunity to honor and celebrate those who have fought or are fighting the cancer war, and to have a great time in the process! Please join us in the battle to give local cancer patients a fighting chance! 100, 50, 25 or 12 Mile Ride Fees
